Breaking Convention - A Comprehensive App for Attendees
Breaking Convention is a biennial conference on psychedelic consciousness, which features more than 150 presenters from around the world. With its new home at the University of Greenwich, London, UK, it has developed into a truly multi-faceted festival selling nearly a thousand tickets in forty countries and offering the latest ground-breaking research and insights across human and social sciences, law, politics, art, history, and philosophy.
The official app of Breaking Convention is a comprehensive guide for attendees. It provides the latest version of the line-up, information about workshops, and the full cinema program. The app also curates a museum and offers a book of selected academic works free for every delegate. Additionally, the app provides features like Find-a-Friend, which enables users to locate their friends at the festival. However, to access some features, users need to register for an account or sign in using Facebook or Twitter and give permission for storing their ID on the app's servers. Users also need to allow the app to access their contacts as well as location when running in the background to enable Find-a-Friend to work. It's worth noting that continued use of location services running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
